Why is it that Shakira’s All-Star halftime performance reminds me of Beyonce at 30%? I am bored and unenthused. I don’t like Shakira all that much anyway so I guess this is to be expected.
But wait, we are saved! Alicia Keys is performing. *LONG PAUSE WHILE SHE PERFORMS*
Ok, my pause was not all that long because Ms. Keys has started singing “Welcome to New York” while in TEXAS. Alicia, what the??? You are not in New York and you have spent half of the song singing, “Welcome to New York” before changing the lyrics to, “Welcome to All-star.” Despite your major fail in song choice, I do appreciate your performance of “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart.” That’s my song. I also like your studded pants that make your hips look bigger than they actually are. Nice stylistic touch. Your performance of “Doesn’t Mean Anything”, oops, I mean “No One” (they sound so much alike) was cool as well.
Overall, I think All-Star 2010 Halftime was pretty lame—as was the slam-dunk contest and celebrity game. I don’t know if it is the random Texan snow but something is making this year’s All-Star weekend very weak. I don’t follow basketball at all but I am a faithful All-Star weekend participant (from my living room of course). I am really not feeling this year’s festivities. Try again next year NBA.

Mz. Jonezy is writing about the NBA All-Star Game...oops the Halftime show. I agree the slam dunk competition was weak. However, I did enjoy A. Keys performance. I believe she showed love both to NY and to the All-stars. I know you specifically wrote about the half-time show, but did you see Kobe Bryants outfit. Was he wearing skinny jeans?
