Bet you didn’t know there was power in your name… (FUNKY FRIDAYS POST)

It's a Funky Friday yet again and time for a beautiful weekend!

This weekend, The African Diaspora Study Program has an incredible information-packed lecture that is free and open to the public. The lecture is entitled, The Power In Your Name and it will be held at the Ma'at Temple of Truth on Saturday March 5th at 3pm. The keynote lecturer is Brother Re-Mose Atun.

Come to this lecture prepared to take notes. This is one you don't want to miss!

Also, tonight at 6pm, the Delaware Art Museum will debut the film "Why I Write" which is a documentary about Nnamdi Chukwuocha and Al Mill (also known as Wilmington's TWIN POETS). The price of this event is $25.00 and all proceeds will benefit the Kingswood Community Center and Hearts & Minds Initiative.

Enjoy your weekend and we hope to see ALL OF YOU at tomorrow's lecture! Peace!
