levels. For this reason, I consciously decided that I would
not write about it. The insanity of some people is just too much to bear. So is the neglectful reporting of the news media. Aside from the sadness of it all, my conscious decision to write about everything but the shooting in Arizona stems from the reality that, in essence, innocent people are shot and murdered every day.
Inner cities are filled with unsolved, unreported murders that continuously go unnoticed by the general public. People are murdered in cold blood all of the time without so much as a well wish from local or national media reporters. I did not want to appear insensitive by comparing the media coverage of the Arizona shooting to a lack of media coverage for other tragedies in America. I also did not want to draw too much attention to the fact that the shooting in Arizona has diverted our attention from other news that deserves more of our attention and concern.* I truly care about the tragic shooting in Arizona and those affected by it; yet, it would be very difficult for me to write solely about the Arizona shooting without recognizing the obvious. So with that being said, I will not go into detail about the actual incident in Arizona. However, since Sarah Palin decided to release the video "America's Enduring Strength", I decided that I might as well voice my opinion. With respect to the victims of the Arizona shooting, I must expose Palin for her insincere attempt at sincerity.

After watching this video, which is supposed to address the devestating shooting in Arizona, I decided that Sarah Palin must be America's favorite idiot. That is the only thing that could explain our tolerance of her ignorance for this long.
At this devastating time, I would expect Palin to have more compassion toward those affected by the shooting in Arizona. I would expect her to stand up and be real, just for a moment, and show pain, anguish and concern. But she didn't. Instead, she has taken this time to house her simplistic political rhetoric in a cheap sympathy card. I ain't buying it.
In Palin's video, she claims to be concerned with the families of those injured and murdered in Arizona, yet she spends most of her time trying to convince us that the Tea Party had nothing to do with the shooting. While she never mentions the Tea Party specifically, she reiterates that the alleged gunman is one solitary man who committed an 'evil' crime that was of his choosing and his doing.
In reality, the gunman may or may not be a Tea Party 'member'. In addition, he may or may not even like Sarah Palin and her idiosyncrasies. However, we would be amiss to ignore an association of this man's actions with the current heated political environment.
In the midst of affirming Jared Loughner's (the alleged gunman) actions as completely isolated, Palin took the time to tell us how dearly she loves her beautiful Christian America. How amazingly rude is that? She mentions the "beautiful Catholic mass" held in honor of the shooting--a mass that she hopes will start the healing processing for the victims of this tragedy. Well, what about the fact that the woman Loughner attempted to assassinate, Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford, is JEWISH. Even though religion may be of least importance at this time, it would do Palin well to respect other people's beliefs and control the promotion of her propaganda.
As with the Arizona tragedy, Sarah Palin's video is sad and unfortunate on so many levels**. This post only touches the surface of Palin's self serving and pretentious ways. We gave her an inch during the 2008 presidential election and she will not stop until she takes her mile. My heart goes out to the those affected by the Arizona shooting. And unlike Palin's, my sympathetic well wishes are unadulterated and real.

Love this
thanks
I think she feels the need to respond because the media noted that Congresswoman Gifford was one of the politicians on the Tea Party target list. Sarah Palin targeted her seat as one that would be taken over by the Republicans. Of course she is an avid supporter of the NRA too. Seems to me like she is trying to be on the fence with this one.
@majesticempress- so true., I guess in essence palin had a reason to post her video. But her reasoning shows just how selfish she is. She has started some mess and doesn't want to take the blame. Not saying that any of this is her fault but she is stirring up more drama than necessary. At a time like this, though, she needed to be more concerned...about people other than herself.
