Leave LeBron Alone...

He's going to Miami, he's going to Miami
He's not gonna play for Cleveland, he's not gonna play for Cleveland
Nana nana boo boo, LeBron isn't gonna play for you!
(to all the Cleveland Cavalier fans)

While all of you crazy people are burning #23 Cavalier jerseys and having water cooler arguments about LeBron's decision to leave Cleveland, LeBron James is smiling all the way to the NBA Finals and a championship ring.

From my understanding, NBA Basketball is a sport comprised of a game that is played for the sole purpose of winning. And after you win enough in this here sport of basketball, you get the chance to play in the Finals and hopefully win a championship ring- which is the ultimate goal in NBA Basketball. So why, may I ask, are people so upset that LeBron is leaving the Cavaliers, his team of 7 years with no championship ring, to join a team that can possibly win a championship? For almost every NBA player, making it to the NBA Finals and winning the championship game is the main objective of playing for the NBA (along with a fat pay check and a love for the game). So what is the problem with LeBron becoming part of a team that will help him reach his goal? I mean, 7 years is a long time to be one of the best in league, and comparable to Michael Jordan without ever winning one championship ring.  Give LeBron a chance to win a ring…and don't act like you wouldn't do the same thing if you were in his shoes.
One of the main arguments that I hear from used-to-be-LeBron James-fans is that LeBron is not as 'loyal' as they thought he was and he should have stuck it out with Cleveland until they won a championship. Many are saying that since he left Cleveland, he can no longer be compared to Michael Jordan who played with the Chicago Bulls for 6 years before winning a championship ring.  Some are even saying that LeBron is a sell-out and they will never be a fan of his again. Everyone seems to have so much to say yet the only thing LeBron is trying to do is make it to the Finals and actually win a championship ring. Take it easy on him. And, last I checked, at the core of NBA basketball you will find a need to win the game, not a need to be loyal. As a matter of fact, I am not too sure loyalty has anything to do with playing basketball anyway. Who cares how loyal you are to anyone as long as you are a beast on the court and a team-player (no matter what team you so happen to play for)? I think people have this whole game messed up and need to take Basketball 101 before making any more comments about LeBron's decision.
Just because Jordan stayed with the Bulls for forever and Kobe is hell-bent on staying with the Fakers Lakers does not mean that LeBron has to do the same with Cleveland. What one or two people choose to do has nothing to do with what everyone should be expected to do. I say, keep ya head up 'Bron and don't let a couple of psycho, jersey burning fans make you second guess you decision. Do whatever you want to do and make sure you win a ring. Everything and everybody else is irrelevant. I'm just saying…
Oh, and Dan Gilbert, owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers, is petty. Extremely petty. Gilbert, did you really curse LeBron and say that the Cavs will win a championship before the Heat? Really? Reeeaaally?!?!
I don't even know much about basketball or watch the game all that often but I can say this---MIAMI HEAT NOW HAS LEBRON JAMES, DWAYNE WADE, AND CHRIS BOSH! Come on, Gilbert, come on. It's pretty obvious who has more of a chance at winning a championship. And it ain't the Cavs….

LeBron made a great move to join a team that actually has the potential to win a ring. He put his ego aside to join a nice squad. Can't wait for bball season next year!!!

I agree, he did what was best for his legacy! And he even took less money, so go get that ring and seal your legacy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loyalty and the game of basketball have nothing in common!
