It's Funky Friday and we have a new feature for your reading pleasure! Who is our latest feature?
CAFE BOHEMIA!!!!!
Wilmington, Delaware is full of special places where special people hang out and have an especially good time. Despite the belief that the only entertaining happenings are in nearby Philadelphia or Baltimore, the truth is, you might find more fun than you could have ever imagined by talking a stroll around your neighborhood.
In the relaxing, residential Cool Springs area of Wilmington Delaware sits a quaint café full of delicious food, loads of laughter and beautiful art work. This café, known to all local bohemians as Café Bohemia, is the go to spot for mouth watering Latin, Caribbean and vegetarian food.
On any given weekend, you can go to Café Bohemia with friends and family to dine in the midst of breathtaking artwork and the aroma of authentic Latin foods. Maria Cabrera, the owner of Café Bohemia, has created a relaxing and enjoyable space for Bohemians of all ages to join in the name of good food and good times.
I first discovered Café Bohemia in July 2010 and since then, it has become one of my favorite places to dine and have a good time. Café Bohemia has a small kitchen area where Maria makes amazing culinary masterpieces each and every time she prepares a meal. I have tried many of the vegetarian-friendly dishes she offers such as the Cuban style yucca, pasta primavera with fresh vegetables, and vegetarian lasagna. I must admit, Café Bohemia's vegetarian food is some of the best I have ever tasted. The food is healthy and always fresh. Also, in addition to the deliciousness of her food, Maria has amazing sangria that is rightfully known as 'Maria's Famous Sangria'.
Café Bohemia is somewhat of a home away from home, with a comfortable friendly feeling. As you sit, sipping on cool sangria, you have the opportunity to admire breathtaking artwork while embracing the strong presence of Latin culture and history. Café Bohemia is a jewel in the Diamond State worthy of your visit. This weekend, when you begin to feel the twinge of hunger and yearn for a cultural and pleasant place to enjoy a tasty meal with fun local Bohemians, stop by Café Bohemia. You won't be disappointed!
(Oh, and fellas, there are flat screen televisions so you can enjoy the game at the café!)
