Jean shorts of any wash can be worn respectfully revealing. However, the fit is a matter of extreme importance. Unlike hip hugging denim pants, shorts are complicated. They often ride up since the hem is in or about the crotch. The remedy is to not purchase denim shorts that require you to leap 3 times in the air and lay on your back to zipper. Think about purchasing shorts with a little room in them. Rise in the crotch due to thighs which rub looks sleazy. If the sleazy look happens to be what you are going for then dress your shorts up with gaudy jewelry. A nice pair of strappy gladiator heels will add length to your legs. And please--don’t overdo it with leggings! Putting something together with no thought kills the mood. To keep your outfit stylish, stay away from boring tanks. Use an oversized cropped off the shoulder top. If the sleeves are elbow length, think of rolling them for a retro effect. If you can’t put the look together, wear something else.
