Downtown Wilmington Art Loop
As a small city with such close proximity to the popular artistic movements in neighboring areas such as Philadelphia and Baltimore, Wilmington, DE is often an overlooked and forgotten gem of artistry. Wilmington is a quaint city with a style and flavor all its own. On Friday July 9th, a downtown city block came bursting to life showcasing some of Wilmington’s best cultural performers for the Downtown Wilmington Art Loop.
Stationed in front of Tasmiyah’s at 205 W. 9th Street, spectators gathered for a beautiful array of performances by the Wilmington African Drummers, local singers, rappers, and spoken word artists.

As most citizens of Wilmington know, the size of a city does not matter when it comes to the development of artistry, communal love, and culture. Wilmington may be small but it is full of amazing artists and a strong cultural movement. Check out footage of the July 9th Downtown Wilmington Art Loop with performances by Esha, Lady Precious and Katchafiyah Music, Rich Raw, Poindexter, and many more!
