All Attention On Haiti

Already the poorest Caribbean country in the Western Hemisphere and of the poorest in the world, Haiti has suffered a horrendous earthquake that is projected to leave tens of thousands homeless and an unknown number dead. Tuesday at about 530pm Port-au-Prince, Haiti was struck by a magnitude-7.0 earthquake which caused devastation to a large portion of the island. The presidential palace is in ruins, hospitals and care units have collapsed, and houses all over the island have been reduced to mere rubble. The island is in shambles and the people are suffering.



Please keep Haiti and its citizens in your thoughts and try to think of ways that you can help. Even if you are able only to spread the word about the severity of the situation, please do so. The more who know and care, the more we can help. Please do not ignore this travesty or let its importance be overlooked. Haitians were unimaginably poor prior to this disaster and are in an even worst predicament now. Please help in any way that you can.
